Council chiefs have approved plans for 125 new properties at sites in Cambusnethan and Holytown in North Lanarkshire.

Additional sites for new housing have also been identified in Cumbernauld, Chryston, Airdrie, Coatbridge, Tannochside and Motherwell.
The council is consulting on proposals to seek Pressured Area Status in Cumbernauld, Moodiesburn,Chryston and Stepps areas, which would suspend the Right to Buy for some tenants and increase the number of homes for rent.
Councillor Barry McCulloch, Convener of the Housing and Social Work Services Committee, said: "Last year the council announced plans for new build homes in the area and work has been ongoing to progress this ambitious programme.
"There's lots going on in the area to not only ensure the provision of suitable accommodation but to invest in our housing stock to ensure quality, affordable accommodation is available for those who need it most."
The council has pledged to spend an additional £40m each year to upgrade the existing housing stock.
